Unfortunately racing does not come free. Only three of the girls got fully sponsored drives in the Formula Woman Championship, the rest of us had to find 12k plus the VAT. Thankfully most of us managed to get sponsorship for the first half which covered the first two race weekends. The other half had to be paid by the 17th September and I was unable to raise this. It's extremely difficult getting sponsorship, and in most cases it's not what you know but who you know. Companies large and small are approached for Sponsorship all the time and most will tell you they only sponsor groups not individuals, it's the wrong time of year, and they do not sponsor motor racing and so on. I was faced with this constantly and as the 17th loomed closer I knew there was no way I could raise that amount of money in such a small space of time. I'm obviously upset and disappointed, I've come this far and now unable to race.  The last race weekend is at Brands on the 3rd and 4th November and I hope to raise the sponsorship for these last two races.  Brands is my favourite circuit and I would be so frustrated not to race there.
